Accessible Features
Ramps
- Westworth’s front doors can be reached via a gradually inclined ramp starting at the sidewalk.
- The chancel and choir area can be reached via a ramp in the sanctuary.
Seating
- Seating is available in the middle-left area of the sanctuary for those using mobility devices such as wheelchairs or walkers.
- Cushions are available at the back of the sanctuary for those seeking more comfort on the wooden pews.
Elevator
- The elevator on the main floor provides access to the lower level (kitchen, gym and lower classroom) and the upper level (office space and upper classroom).
Reserved parking
On Sundays, parking in front of the church is reserved for those with an accessible parking permit, as marked by city signage.
Additional spots are reserved for those with an accessible parking permit in the church parking lot on the west side of the building.
Bathrooms
- An accessible, all-gender bathroom is found near the main entrance.
- A change table is located in the accessible, all-gender bathroom.
Scent-free environment
Westworth aims to provide a scent-free environment to support people with severe sensitivities and allergies to scented products.
You can help us achieve this goal! Please:
- do not wear perfumes, colognes and other scented products in Westworth spaces.
- do not bring scented candles and scented plants into the building.
Making worship accessible
- Hearing assist devices are available. For Sunday services, a greeter will provide one to you as you enter the sanctuary.
- We live-stream worship services every Sunday. You can find the link on our home page.
- All worship services are recorded and can be found on our YouTube page.
- The order of worship is found in a printed bulletin and projected on a screen in the sanctuary. The words to communal songs and prayers are also projected on the screen in the sanctuary and on the live-stream.
- Hymnals with large type are available for use in the sanctuary.
- Bulletins, sermons and church emails can be mailed out to those who cannot attend worship or do not receive email. These mailings are also offered in large print.
- ASL is sometimes provided during hymns, as we have a student of ASL in the Senior Choir.
