Our next project is Faure’s Requiem and we are inviting singers to join the chorus. If you have sung in the choir in the past or have wanted to give the choir a try but you don’t seem to have enough time, then this might be the solution for you. We only have 6-7 Saturday morning rehearsals before a performance, and you get the opportunity to perform with an orchestra and professional soloists.
The rehearsal dates for Faure’s Requiem are: February 2, 9, 16, and March 2, 9, 16, 10:00 – Noon, the full orchestral rehearsal is March 26, and the presentation is Good Friday, March 29 at 3:00 PM.
This project is something that has evolved at Westworth over the last 2 years, in support of our Choral Scholarship program. This season we have already put together presentations of Brahm’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah.
